The fifth song in my upcoming six-part album Microtonal Mania!. This song was written in 31edo, the tuning system that splits each octave into 31 parts instead of 12. The idea for the song started out with me misremembering what the Xenharmonic Wiki said about 31edo. I had thought it had said that the each 31st of an octave was an important distance between intervals but could not be used as an interval in its own right, so I used it as an interval between notes very frequently out of spite. I kinda based the song around using that small interval, which is called a "diesis", hence the name of the song. I also used a lot of the harmonic seventh chord, which I gave explanation on in the description of Welcome to the ASFGRJSFS.

I didn't want to use the names "major" and "minor" to refer to those scales because calling Aeolian and Ionian "major" and "minor" even though there are other scales which feature major and minor intervals, comes from the tradition of treating Aeolian and Ionian as the two main scales, even though Mixolydian is objectively better than Ionian
The actual reason is that the point of EdoBox is to experiment with non-traditional music theory, so why should names be used that are deeply rooted in how music is used today? Aeolian and Ionian shouldn't be treated as the two main scales (since we are getting away from traditions) and I want the names to reflect that.
