The third song in my upcoming six-part album Microtonal Mania!. This piece was made using 46edo, which is a tuning system made by splitting each octave into 46 equal parts instead of the usual 12. This started out as me playing a little tune on the piano but I really liked it so I decided to recreate it in EdoBox. I used mainly traditional music theory in the first part, having a nice minor scale, but I tried utilizing weird chords in some of the later parts. One chord which I really like is a chord known as the 'harmonic seventh chord', in which the ratios between the frequencies of the notes are 4:5:6:7. This chord appears on the root note on the Mixolydian scale with the 3rd, 6th, and 7th lowered by 1 step. I also did other funky chord stuff but I wrote this too long ago and I kinda forget what I did :p
Please provide feedback on this piece! You can find the album on SoundCloud here.
